What GigaCarbon Is
Our work addresses a structural gap in existing carbon markets: while transport emissions are material and widespread, current measurement frameworks lack the resolution required to credibly quantify emissions reductions driven by individual and fleet-level behaviour change.
What Problem We Address
Transport emissions reduction frameworks struggle to credibly measure behaviour-driven change because existing approaches rely on static baselines, probabilistic inference, or periodic self-reporting. This limits auditability, prevents longitudinal measurement, and introduces integrity risk when scaled across large, informal transport systems.
What We are Not Doing
GigaCarbon is intentionally constrained by design.We are not issuing carbon credits at this stage.
We are not marketing offsets or selling environmental claims.
We are not operating a marketplace, tokenised asset scheme, or financial instrument.Our focus is limited to building and validating the underlying measurement and verification infrastructure required for high-integrity emissions accounting.We do not rely on self-reported activity, estimated averages, or opaque scoring systems.
We do not use probabilistic inference where deterministic measurement is possible.Driver identity is not treated as a monetisable or transferable data asset.
Data collection is minimised to what is strictly required for auditability, longitudinal measurement, and misuse prevention.We do not optimise for volume, speed, or credit issuance.
We optimise for conservative baselining, traceability, and institutional alignment.Expansion beyond this scope will only occur following methodological approval, governance review, and partner consent.
How the System Works
GigaCarbon develops deterministic software infrastructure that converts observed driving behaviour into conservative emissions baselines and verification-ready records.Our core system, CORE (Carbon Optimization & Redistribution Engine), is designed to support longitudinal measurement, enabling emissions baselines to adjust dynamically over time as behaviour changes, while maintaining auditability and data minimisation constraints.CORE is built to support digital Monitoring, Reporting, and Verification (dMRV) processes aligned with emerging standards.
Current Status
We are currently operating early-stage pilots and refining our methodology and governance framework in alignment with standards bodies and institutional partners, with a focus on conservative baselining and misuse prevention.
